These oak smoked trout ribbons are traditionally cured with sea salt and brown sugar and then gently oak smoked to enhance the amazing flavour.
Smoked in Franschhoek, this trout is in our opinion more flavoursome and delicate than Norwegian Smoked Salmon and it hasn't flown 15,000km to get here!
Delicious on a bagel with cream cheese, on an eggs benedict or mixed into a simple pasta with creme fraiche and capers.
We have two pack sizes available, 80gm or 500gm and they come frozen. The 80gm pack defrosts in about an hour in the fridge, the 500gm packet is best defrosted overnight in the fridge.
